Energy is Fundamental

As the economy continues to trend downward, there is more and more discussion about the importance of energy.  Jobs have been, and continue to be, lost…but there is an opportunity to turn this around.  As President Obama states, “no single issue is as fundamental to our future than energy.”  We have the resources, ability, and capacity to change this economic trend.  Obama’s plan is based on the following tenants:

1. Develop a New Energy Economy:  focus on alternative energy, commercial building efficiency, and home weatherization
2. Set New Fuel Efficiency Standards:  focus on increasing fuel efficiency in our fleet
3. Work with States to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions:  focus on partnering with states to make change
